Overview

Once we are ready, we will travel into the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town and Dean Village before we explore the Old Town, we will have free time to explore the magnificent Edinburgh Castle, before we travel down the Royal Mile, onto Holyrood Palace, travelling up 700ft and round the extinct volcano called Arthurs Seat in the heart of the Queens Garden. We travel south towards the Knights Templars and stunning (externally and internally) Rosslyn Chapel, legend has it, its the location where the Holy Grail is buried which inspired Dan Brown to write his best selling novel The Da Vinci Code. It’s red sandstone exterior, and the stunning architecture and beautiful Italian ornate carvings. A couple of hundred metres from Rosslyn Chapel is Rosslyn Castle, with the foundations dating back to the 14th century, once inhabited and still in the Sinclair family.   From here ists a wee drive back to your cruise ship or accommodation.
